The former parish of São Pedro de Lourosa was vicarage and commendation of the Order of Christ. It was part of the municipality of Avô, until its extinction by the decree of 24 October 1855. In 1755 it was integrated in the region of Guarda, in 1839 in that of Seia, in 1852 in that of Midões, in 1878 in the region and judged of Tábua and in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, staying in 1885 in the region and municipality of Oliveira do Hospital.
